I guess the sequester isn’t all that bad when we can send the Vice President abroad to the tune of 1 Million dollars for two nights of hotel expenses. This seems excessive in light of the fact that the President has closed the White House to tours because the country “can’t afford it?” The Administration would have us believing that these budget cuts are so devastating to the country that we can’t even afford to run White House tours but the Vice President can travel with a 100+ person staff and rack up a million dollar hotel bill in just two nights. Meanwhile, Senate Democrats are attempting to pass a spending bill that Doesn’t balance the budget AND raises taxes. What this really means is they have crafted a spending package they know will never pass the House, this is just another club to use to beat the Republicans over the head with in the next election cycle.
We have to stop hiring these people who aren’t interested in actually getting anything accomplished save winning the next election.
